"Old Western Movie: American Empire (1942): A Story of Cattlemen, Cattle Ranching & The American Dream" Overview

Two friends, Dan Taylor and Paxton Bryce, are hired to move a herd of cattle but are cheated out of their rightful pay by the disingenuous owner, played by Leo Carrillo. So, they take the cattle for themselves and move out west to establish their own ranch, taking with them Dan's sister Abby, who later marries Paxton. Together, they establish themselves, but Paxton becomes restless and tries to rise to greater power, making a rift between he and his business partner and wife. After more trials and conflicts, some with Carrillo's character again, the three are reunited and continue living harmoniously in their "American empire."
